Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

Although this travel recap is months overdue, Cabo San Lucas was where I traveled with my mom and grammy for spring break this past March.  We had such an amazing time!  The weather was amazing, the beaches were enjoyable, and the town was quaint, cute, and full of culture!

We spent a lot of our time relaxing and laying out at the pool.  We had a stunning view of the sparkling ocean which looked like diamonds when the sun hit it.  We even were able to see whales from the pool deck!

On one of the days, we went to Medano Beach, which was a busy beach full of college spring breakers and locals.  Because it was a busy place, they offered many different water sports.  On previous vacations, I had seen FlyBoarding advertised, and knew it was something I would love to do someday.  So, when I saw a sign for Cabo FlyBoard, I knew this was the place! It was quite difficult at first, but once I learned how to balance and control my movement it was so enjoyable - I would definitely recommend to any one who loves a good thrill.

Also at Medano beach, we took a glass bottom taxi ride to the infamous Arch of Cabo.  It was a beautiful sight! We also saw Lovers Beach and Divorce Beach, but did not stop and get off the taxi.

That evening we went on a sunset dinner cruise.  The boat took us back to the Arch of Cabo, only this time we got to see it at sunset.  No matter how many sunrises and sunsets I see, I will never get tired of the gorgeous colors and beauty on display.

While on this trip, I was training for a half marathon.  I did my best to run each day, but I didn't stray far from the house in which we were staying, so I never went more than 3 miles.  I saw in a travel magazine an advertisement for Running Tours Los Cabos, did some research, and signed up to run with a tour guide.  I figured it would be a group of people, but turns out it was just me and the guide.  She was incredible!  We talked the whole time as we shared life stories, she pointed out neat places of downtown Cabo, we ran at a nice pace, and got in a 10K before 9:00 am.  I fell in love with the idea of a running tour and it will definitely be something I will look into on future travels.

All in all, it was an absolutely amazing week, full of fun, laughter, and lots of sunshine (hence my face full of freckles)!  Could not have asked for a better senior year spring break!
