The dreamiest summer in Italy has came and went, but not without much joy and plenty of iconic summery spritz!
If you're not away of the Italian aperitivo and spritz, first of all I'm sorry, and secondly you must know that together they create one of the best sparkling joys of Italy! Aperitivo doesn't exist in America, and if someone tries to compare it to Happy Hour, they're far off. Aperitivo is the perfect early evening occasion to meet up with friends and enjoy an evening in the piazza. Order a drink (in my case, always a spritz in the summer), and along with your drink they bring food! Sometimes potato chips, peanuts, or olives, but sometimes little finger foods like small pieces of pizza or sandwiches, bread, and cheese.
Like us, aperitivo and spritz come in all shapes and sizes, but all beautiful! Until the next time, spritz season.
