Freedom

I have a feeling that this week is going to fly by & the weekend will be full of 4th of July celebration! My favorite parts about the 4th of July festivities are definitely the fireworks and sparklers!

The 4th is a great day to celebrate our county's freedom; but, this day can also serve a special reminder of the freedom we have in Christ Jesus!

Whenever we put our faith in Jesus, believing in Him and following Him, he gives us freedom from our sins.

John 8:32 says, "Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free."
John 8:36 says, "So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed!"

Have a great weekend celebrating!

Grace

God is LOVE.  He loves us so much that He sent Jesus, His ONLY Son, to die for us.  Jesus was born a child, yet a King.  Jesus was born to die. And not just to die, but to die for US, to die for sinners like you and me.  But it doesn't end there; Jesus was resurrected and sits at the right hand of God.  His resurrection gives us HOPE, and because of it, we can have FAITH that we will be in HEAVEN with Him someday.  Our names are written in heaven (Luke 10:20)! How awesome is this sweet truth!

All you have to do is accept Him as your Savior and Lord! (John 3:16)

He wants us to come to Him, to accept what He has so graciously given us.  A gift that He gives because He LOVES us.  He loves me.  He loves YOU!

No matter what we have done, no matter what we do now, no matter what we do in the future, nothing can separate us from God's great love (Romans 8:38).  Ya'll...This isn't just great news, it's the BEST news. We are so undeserving, so unworthy, so unrighteous, but because of Jesus, because of His death for US, God sees us as His flawless children.  He extends forgiveness and grace WITHOUT END!

I hope you all feel this love, this grace, this peace that only comes from The Father because of Jesus! He wants you! He wants you to accept this grace.

His love and grace are my favorite things! I want you to know these feelings, I want you to know GOD.

God loves you! I love you! Praying for y'all, that you will feel His love and fall deeper in love with Him!

You Gotta Regatta

The ever-so-popular You Gotta Regatta print is back at Lilly Pulitzer! If you've been a Lilly lover for a while now, you know how rare it is for them to bring back an old print.  The hype about this is especially huge because You Gotta Regatta is very sought after!

I definitely love the printed popover, but for now I just snagged the beautiful beach towel! I can't wait for it to arrive!

If you're looking to own something in this beautiful, bright, summery print, act fast because the items are only available while supplies last (and I have a feeling that sizes are going to get picked over quickly!)

Hope y'all have a wonderful summer day!

Braids

Braids are seemingly very popular lately - and I have been loving this trend for summer! I have adopted this hair style in the nick of time for the hot and humid weather.  Not to mention, braids are fairly quick and easy and they're especially useful when you're on day two or three hair (thank you, dry shampoo).

Some of my favorites are the double braids, loose messy braids, and half up half down braids:

I've always been able to braid other people's hair, and I've been trying to get better at doing my own.  Summer is definitely a great time to learn some new hairstyle skills!

Hope you guys have a wonderful & sunny week! Xo,

Summer!

Happy Sunday y'all!  Summer vacation is here, hallelujah, and finally the sun is shining, the birds are chirping, and it's warm enough to bask in the SUNSHINE!  Since I've been home, it's been pretty rainy and dreary - I hope that's not an indicator of the weather for the whole summer!

I'm very excited to be spending this summer at home.  I will be helping with summer school, junior high cheerleading, volunteering at the library's summer reading program, and tutoring too!  I am so glad to have so many opportunities to work with children and get more experience while having so much fun!

One thing that I'm exceptionally looking forward to is spending Sundays with my family.  There's something about getting up on a Sunday morning and going to church together that I love.  Our message at church this morning was something that I won't get tired of hearing - we are so broken and have such a need of our sweet Savior, Jesus.  Though we fail, God's grace, mercy, and forgiveness is never ending.  He is our redeemer & he is so worthy of all our praise.

I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday and amazing week!

Home stretch!

Y'all! Only 2 weeks left of my junior year of college! I can not believe I'll be a senior next year, but I'm sooo excited - one step closer to becoming a teacher!

The end is in sight, but these next couple weeks are bound to be the busiest yet with projects, papers, presentations, and finals.  There's no time to relax yet, but at the same time, it's crucial to make this time count by spending quality time with friends that you won't get to see much over the summer.  Wouldn't it be a shame to spend the next 2 weeks solely focusing on studying and assignments? In my opinion, YES!  My advice to y'all is to plan.  Literally schedule out when you're going to work on this project, what times you're going to study for your exams, and the times you're going to spend making memories with friends.  Trust me, it's important!

Enjoy the last couple weeks of school!

Spring Nail Color

I love having my nails painted, and when they're not painted I feel drab!  China Glaze is my favorite brand of nail polish.  It seems to stay on a long time without chipping off.  These are some of my favorite colors for spring!

These colors are so bright, fun, and cheerful!  I think my favorite is the pink one, but that should come as no surprise :)
