My first post of 2016! Happy New Year y'all!!

This past year has been full of great adventures, fun times, and numerous blessings from God.  The other day my mom and on a trip down memory lane of 2015 and thought of all the memories that stuck out to us.  I encourage y'all to do the same, because it is so wonderful to reflect on the past year. and see how God worked. Maybe even write the memories down so you won't forget them!

I am looking forward to what a great year 2016 will be.  I love to make some goals for the new year, and thought I'd share some with y'all!

Health

I love working out, and I am going to try my best to exercise every singly day.  One of my goals is to run a 5K, and if I get ambitious maybe I will even try to run a 10K! I am also going to try to start logging my food intake so I am more accountable with what I eat.  Oh yeah, and I'm going to try not to drink soda and drink more water.

Travel

If I had unlimited funds and unlimited parental permission, I would spend every spare moment traveling.  Unfortunately, that is not the case and my parents do not support my love of traveling as much as I wish they would.  While it is my ultimate goal to go to Europe this year, I don't think that will happen.  But I do want to go to Florida (which my family is planning on going for spring break), to St. Thomas in the Virgin Islands (which may happen over next Christmas break), and hopefully New York (but that's not planned!).  Basically I want to be spontaneous and go on as many adventures while I can!

Spiritual

My relationship with God is something that is very important to me.  That being said, I can always improve my relationship with Him.  That begins my strengthening my daily walk with Him, which is something that everyone can improve on.  I will strive to spend time with God everyday by getting into the Word daily as well as enriching and increasing the time I spend with Him in prayer.  I want to feel closer to God, and The Bible in James 4:8 tells me how to do that - "Draw near to God and He will draw near to you."

Lifestyle

I can not wait to be a teacher someday soon, and because I want to be the best teacher I can be, I want to get as much as experience that I can.  One of my goals for the year is to obtain a summer job working with children.  I want to make opportunities for myself, which will require going out of my comfort zone.  Sometimes it is easy for me to be timid and then become complacent, but it is time that I start going after what I want, being proactive and brave in all areas of my life.

"He makes me brave."  Be strong and courageous.  Do not be afraid.  He will be with you wherever you go.  Joshua 1:9

Wishing you all a bright and glittery 2016!

Xoxo,
