Happy Harvest

I've grown up on a farm my whole life, and I wouldn't want it to be any other way.  Fall harvest is such a beautiful time of year.  The guys typically spend long hours in the fields bringing in the crops or cultivating the soil, and the ladies help as much as they can (most often making sure they are well fed and have enough cookies!)

My brother is in the combine & my dad is in the tractor!

Cultivate in a farming sense means to prepare the land for farming, think along the lines of tilling and plowing.
However, cultivate in an everyday aspect means to acquire or develop, such as a quality, skill, or sentiment.

What things will you cultivate this season?

Happiness, faithfulness, joy, love, kindness, respect, patience, compassion, gratitude, humbleness?

This season I will strive to develop or improve on these wonderful characteristics.  As 1 Peter 4:8 says: "Above all love each other deeply, for love covers a multitude of sin."  Therefore, when we love others, we will be all of the other traits we strive to be!

Love y'all!
