Capri Sun

Two days was not enough time on this beautiful, sunny, lavish island!  From the moment we saw Capri from the ferry, we knew we were somewhere special. The harbor was full of boats and along the water lined colorful houses and shops with the absolute cutest merchandise!

However, to get to the main attraction there is a funicular that you take from the harbor and arrive in the piazzetta of Capri, which is the main square. It is precious and full of restaurants and people enjoying their day.  From there, you will find many streets full of expensive and high end shops, as well Buonocore Gelateria - the best gelato in Capri! Further along there is a path lined with many beautiful hotels that ends with Belvedere Tragara which offers a beautiful lookout over the sea and the Faraglioni - the iconic towering rock formations of Capri.

We stayed at Hotel Mamela, which was absolutely stunning and offered the absolute best view of the Mediterranean Sea as well as pink flowers, a luxurious infinity pool, and a lovely staff!

One of the dreamiest dinners I have ever had was at Da Paolina, where we literally ate melt-in-your-mouth lemon spaghetti while sitting under lemon groves! I don't think it gets better than this!

Also, Capri has the most blue water ever. We took a private tour around the island one day and got to bask in the sun while admiring the perfect water, beautiful island, and interesting rock formations.

Although it didn't feel like authentic Italy with the luxurious shopping, modernized hotels, and tourists galore Capri is a dream location that we really look forward to returning to again!
