Positano

"Positano is a dream place that isn't quite real when you are there and becomes beckoningly real after you have gone." John Steinbeck

Positano is without a doubt one of my new favorite places!  I can not sing enough praises about this stunning, quaint, cliffside village that is packed with Italian charm, delightful cafes, and precious boutiques. Vertically up from the pebble beach lined with vibrant umbrellas, colorful homes and hotels are perfectly stacked, creating the most picturesque view from any angle.

We stayed at Hotel Poseidon, which was more than we could have imagined! Classic, traditional, and charming, this historic hotel is absolutely breathtaking.  We enjoyed all that was to offer, and were especially infatuated with the staff and the hotel's restaurant, Il Tridente, where we had a delicious breakfast each morning and the most perfect dinner on our last night.  Amazing service and amazing food, all with with an amazing view!

Another of our favorite restaurants of our entire trip was at Terrazza Cele! The service, the food, and the view go unmatched.

Throughout the days we enjoyed wandering up and down the narrow winding streets, stopping and shopping anywhere that caught our eye, which was almost every shop - including a shoe store where they make custom leather sandals. Although we found these all over the Amalfi Coast, this one in particular was what I had been waiting all week to find. The shoe maker was so friendly and he created the perfect sandal for me!

One day we spent completely at the beach, Spiaggia Grande, and another day we cruised along the Amalfi Coast to Amalfi in the hotel's vintage convertible beetle and then relaxed at the hotel's pool and spa.

Of all the places we visited on the Amalfi Coast, Procida, Sorrento, Capri, and Positano, Positano was my favorite and will always be so special to me. It was the perfect ending to a precious week.  I'll never forget this week full of love and fun spent talking, laughing, shopping, eating, and relaxing with my momma.
