A Heidelberg Hello

I. Love. Heidelberg!

I have been to Heidelberg three times within the past couple weeks, and I love it more each time.  It has easily became one of my favorite places in Europe so far.

The first time in Heidelberg it was raining, but the beautiful castle was still in full glory.  The view from the castle was also stunning!

The second time in Heidelberg it was also raining. I took a bus tour of the city and had the chance to see more than just the historic Old Town, but this part of town remains my favorite by far as it is full of historic romantic style buildings and adorable shops and cafes.

I spent most of my time in a cute coffee shop called Holy Kitchen. It had FLAMINGO WALLPAPER! Absolutely adorable.

Also during this trip I went to Heidelberger Zuckerladen, a famous candy shop tourist attract. The interior was actually very strange, but the candy was delicious (they had flamingo gummies).

For supper we went to Hans Im Gluck, where I ate the most delicious burger ever.  I had a burger with fig jam, goat cheese, and bacon on it. SO SO GOOD.

The third trip to Heidelberg sealed the deal.  It was the sunniest day (my favorite)! We walked around and went to some places for incredible views of the city.  The MOST stunning view of the city from above was by far the view from Church of the Holy Spirit.  It was quite the trek to the top, but it was so worth it. Seriously so breathtaking! If you are ever in Heidelberg, you must see this view.

I do not think I would ever tire of walking around this city with streets laden with such colorful places and beautiful views. (I also know that I would absolutely never tire of going to bakeries with delicious pastries!)

However the best part of my time in Heidelberg was spending time with my best friend, Jana. Forever grateful!

Xoxo,
