All Roads Lead to Rome: Day 2

Rome day 2 began with none other, pictures at the Trevi before the crowds arrived.

Supposedly the first coin one throws in guarantees that one will return to Rome (worked for me, since I’d been once before!)

The second coin is said to ensure one finds love, and the third marriage. But time will tell!

We spent the first half of our day at the Colosseum (so magnificent!) My family got audio guides and were enthralled the whole time, while I just enjoyed walking around and taking pictures!

Then we walked around the Roman Forum.

After lunch, we walked through the Campo de'Fiore market and I lovedddd all the flowers and signs of spring. We even walked past a cute little truck with it’s bed full of fresh flowers (so cute)!

Then we went to the Spanish Steps and walked the 138 (134? 136? ) steps to the top.

Of course we had to reward ourselves with gelato from Giolitti - the oldest gelato shop in Rome. It was sooooo yummy. (And I saw some pink buildings on the walk!)

And then we ended our day with admiring the Trevi Fountain again, of course!

We had planned to spend three full days in Rome, and we were surprised at how much ground we covered in a short amount of time!

Xoxo,
