Venice

The floating city! I remembered Venice being one of my favorite places I had visited in Italy, and I was so excited to return.

One of my favorite aspects about Venice is that there are no cars and no roads. The only transportation is via canals or walking. The city seems so quiet without the constant noise of vehicles.

In Venice, we visited Pizza San Marco, St. Mark’s Basillics, the Rialto Bridge, and the Bridge of Sighs and Doge’s Palace.   I was shocked to find that there were hardly any tourists in Venice in compassion to previous time I had been. Perks of traveling in the off season!

I really loved all the quaint side canals and charmingly beautiful and old buildings.

In the evening, we took a gondola ride throughout the canals, because no matter how touristy and cliche it may be, it's a must do when in Venice!
